Financing for Water and Maritime sector

Three top sectors, otherwise known as ‘Top Consortia for Knowledge and Innovation’ (TKIs), have been set up:

• Water technology. Challenges here lie in the fields of water quality and availability, and reusing raw materials and energy.
• Delta technology. Several innovation clusters have been set up for this.
• Maritime Technology

There are crossovers between the Agriculture, Energy and Agri-Food ‘Top Sectors’. Some grants require a crossover, while others do not.

Subsidy for Water and Maritime

The following schemes are interesting for this sector:

• Demonstration scheme for Innovations in Climate Technologies and Transport (DKTI)
• Sustainable Water Fund (FDW)
• Partners for Water: Water Safety and Water Security Urban Delta (PvW-WWSD)
• POP3 – Cooperation for water innovations
• Green projects scheme
• Stimulating clusters and networks (in relation to the Water ‘Top Sector’)
• Stimulating testing grounds (in relation to the Water ‘Top Sector’)

The Water and Maritime ‘Top Sector’ works on water challenges to increase prosperity. Stimulating the innovative strength of the Netherlands and finding solutions for a more balanced climate are of paramount importance.
