DKTI for innovation in transport

In order to combat climate change, the Dutch government strives to achieve 49% less greenhouse gas emissions in 2030 than in 1990. A sector that is responsible for approximately 30% of the CO2 emissions within the EU is the transport sector. The DKTI subsidy scheme gives substance to the agreements made in the Energy Agreement of 2014, the Climate Agreement of 2019 and the Sustainable Fuel Vision, which contain the long-term climate objectives in the fields of traffic and transport.

For whom?

The DKTI scheme is aimed at companies, knowledge institutions and non-governmental organizations which work on transport innovations. Collaboration is encouraged, but this is not an obligation.

DKTI learning by using

With the next opening of the DKTI, a new category will be added: DKTI learning by using. This category has been developed to give companies that want to gain experience with the use of zero-emission trucks, a chance. The subsidy guarantees part of the costs for the experimental development, the purchase of the vehicles and the refueling and charging infrastructure.

How much is the subsidy worth?

The amount of subsidy that can be applied for depends on the project type and the category of means of transport.
