Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF)
Are you active in emerging markets or developing countries? The Dutch Good Growth Fund can help answer your financing question.
The Dutch Good Growth Fund offers four options:
- Investing in Dutch SMEs
- Import Dutch SMEs
- Export Dutch SMEs
- Investment funds for local SMEs
Investing Dutch SMEs
When you do business in emerging markets or developing countries, you often make a significant contribution to economic and social improvements in the country. Getting the right financing mix can be quite difficult. The section “Investing Dutch SMEs” supplements private investments by means of loans and participation. You can submit an application up to €15 million.
Import Dutch SMEs
You may be importing goods from an emerging market in a developing country, but you may not be able to grow because finance with a bank is not secured. In such a case you can obtain financing through the DGGF. You can apply for a maximum of €15 million for the purchase of trading goods from your local supplier.
Export Dutch SMEs
The section ‘Export Dutch SME’ offers export credit insurance and export financing options for SMEs that export to one or more DGGF countries. You can take out insurance with the DGGF for a transaction size with damages of up to €15 million. You are also eligible for supplier credit of up to €5 million to customers in one of the DGGF countries.
Investment fund local SMEs
Due to limited access to finance, smaller local businesses in developing countries cannot easily grow. That is why the DGGF invests in investment funds that target entrepreneurs in DGGF countries. These funds are therefore a major stimulus for the financial sector in low- and middle-income countries.
Who is the Dutch Good Growth Fund for?
From the possibilities that we describe above, the financing is aimed at two target groups:
- Dutch SMEs with international ambition
- Investment funds aimed at local SMEs
